Jorja Smith high in her new single, “Little Things.” On the track, which fuses R&B with clubby rave music, she flirts relentlessly with the person who caught her eye. The mesmerizing track is led by steady percussion and rhythmic bass, accompanied by Jorja Smith’s characteristically soulful vocals.
Smith says the song is about “putting yourself out there, in front of a world that has many opinions.” She says she had “a lil’ concoction — rum, ting, and a magnum.” The also singer explains, “It only ever used to be [her] really being [her] own critic.”
She continues, “This is the first time I’m putting stuff out there that I can connect with right now.” Smith additionally recalls “imagining hearing this walking into a party and seeing someone I’d had my eye on.” The UK artist also calls the song “fun!” and “pretty self-explanatory.”
