Following the official confirmation and announcement of Shallipopi’s highly anticipated debut album, here is why we think Wizkid might be featured in the project.
Shallipopi in a post on his social media platform confirmed the release of a single titled ‘Shakespopi’ and his second studio album which is all set to release on April 12, 2024, a date which also happens to be his birthday. His second studio album comes six months after the release of his debut album ‘Presido La Pluto’.
His post on social media read, “Na Shalli Dey write but na Shakespeare dey shake, Plutomanias get ready for “Shakespopi” Birthday 12, Album 12, Pluto day 12 We feast on the 12th of April.”
Following the announcement, speculations of artists to be featured on the project have begun to surface on social media and although names have continued to fly around, the recent gesture of Wizkid after the album announcement has led to further speculations that he is one of the artists featured on the project.
Wizkid in a post on his Instagram story shared the album announcement of Shallipopi a gesture the Grammy award-winning singer hardly does.
With initial pictures and videos of the duo, the album announcement seems to have fueled the reports of the collaboration dropping in 2024.]
